January Plan – Introduction

So I already mentioned that I have this plan for January, or for the next four weeks starting this week. The plan is not to consume any additional sugar (so that means biscuits, chocolates, sweets etc – it’s not like I’m going to go around checking all the labels on food!), caffeine (so no coffee, yikes!) or alcohol for the next 4 weeks. I’m not a big fan of diets as such so for me this seemed like a good way to boost healthy eating rather than “going on a diet”.

My snacks include nuts, tangerines, apples, green tea and water… sounds seriously healthy!

The other plan revolves around exercising. I’m the type that needs a set goal, otherwise I will quit before I even get started. That in mind, I decided to sign up for the Wicklow Half Marathon on the 23rd of March. The training for that will mainly consist of a couple of runs per week, spinning & pilates classes, and the gym (weights, yay..!). Last night I decided to try something new though and went to the most ridiculous class ever. It was fun and it was certainly different – ridiculous is the only word I can think of to describe it, but I mean that in a good way. I will write a separate post for that once I’ve done a few more classes to give you my review of Piloxing!
