This is a great mid-week dinnertime saver as it only takes 15 minutes to prepare! I ofter have one of the kids helping me with various tasks, like chopping mushrooms (they’re soft so easy for the little ones to chop!), bringing rubbish to the bin, handing me the spice jars, mushing the avocados… It’s a big help for me as I don’t need to keep an eye on them at the same time and they help getting the dinner ready.
This warm chicken wrap is one of my favourites. It’s quick and easy, it’s tasty, and you can put in pretty much anything you like or can find in the kitchen! It’s a handy one for even the smallest ones as they can just use their hands and it’s easy to pick and choose what you put in. It’s nothing new under the sun, but I sometimes find it hard to come up with new ideas, which is why I like sharing these recipes (whenever I get around to it!).

I like, no, I love cooking. I love trying new recipes (or coming up with my own!). It’s great for the head as well, I find cooking almost therapeutic. Just not mid-week… Like everyone else, I find it hard to come up with something nice but quick enough to make as there usually isn’t too much spare time in the evenings after work. This recipe wasn’t even supposed to make it to the blog in the first place, but since it was quick to make and devoured even by the toughest-to-please critics, the Little Messers, I thought I better save it in here for future reference!
This pizza is another one of those that you can easily modify to suit your own taste. Swap the veggies to whatever you like, you could add chicken if you didn’t fancy a veggie version, and use pretty much any fillings you desire! It’s a modified version of a recipe I found on Healthy Food Guide magazine. This is very quick to put together and the kiddies loved it! I’ve been trying to introduce more veggies in our house over the past couple of months. I mean, we’ve always had a good bit of veggies going on, but I’ve been trying to be a bit more creative and try out new things. So I thought we might try a day without meat every week. That way I will have to come up with some nice, new veggie dishes every week! I’m hoping to make this “Veggie Wednesday” a weekly thing, but as I know myself and how things change on a short notice in this house, let’s just try and see how it goes.
